We are Chevron’s mechanical and electrical advisors on their new office facility at the Hill of Rubislaw. We have advised and provided specifications for the specialists installations required for this fit out contract. This extremely high quality office facility comprises of 2 blocks linked by a common bridge on 2 floors with a restaurant/town hall facility on the 2nd floor and high quality meeting rooms at first floor level. There is a state of the art computer facility which has a parallel redundant UPS system together with all necessary cooling which also includes one third redundancy. VESDA, water leak detection, and a gas suppression system were also included. In addition each block is served with a standby generator capable of providing a full back up facility on a block by block basis. The complete design has been carried out to allow the 2 blocks to be easily split should this be a requirement in the future. We have ensured that the AV contract which is carried out post occupation may be carried out with the minimum of fuss. This has been made possible by careful planning of the containment required by these systems. Electrically operated blinds have been provided throughout and all meeting rooms have been designed with scene setting, high frequency dimmable lighting systems.
