Royfold House is one of 2 buildings occupied on a long term lease by ConocoPhillips. We carried out full building services design for both buildings. The existing systems were improved with the installation of a VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) Comfort cooling system ensuring that the comfort cooling was provided with maximum efficiency and flexibility.
Works involved the installation of a passenger lift to comply with the requirements of the DDA and a standby generator to provide UPS power and full cooling to the computer facilities in the event of a mains failure.
Although vacant possession was offered, this building housed operation critical IT systems which had to remain operational throughout the entire works.
Lighting was completely replaced by a modern energy efficient system which was fully programmable and operated on occupancy.
Traffic management systems were also provided as were CCTV systems linking images back to the main security room in Rubislaw House.
