This £11M prestigious Office Development was purpose built to be the Headquarters for the Scottish Media Group and was linked to the existing Scottish Television Studios in Cowcaddens.
The prime Design Objective for the 9,250m² Office Development was to achieve a Services Design which was completely flexible for the ever changing needs of the Media Group, and to enhance this, the Mechanical and Electrical Services Designs were split into three distinct areas on each of the three Office Accommodation Levels.
Each area was served by its own dedicated plant area and distribution core. This Design Philosophy allows the Client to have a completely Open Plan Office Environment, Perimeter Cellular Offices, or a mixture of both, all of which means less disruption to the Building Occupants during lay out changes.
All Office Areas are floor wired for IT requirements and each core has its own dedicated distribution hub. The lighting installation is fully automatic and uses both programmable presence detection and photocells to ensure that the lighting levels are always maintained at the required level, with the added benefit of maximum efficiency and reduced energy costs.
The Development has a feature atrium which is a prominent feature in the Glasgow skyline.
