Combining historical character and the convenience of a modern building, the Teacher Building represents an unbeatable fusion of facilities and high quality service. The theatre and all the meeting rooms are equipped to accommodate events of all sizes and types, ranging from business meetings to conferences with first-class catering completing the picture.
The Lecture Theatre is fully air-conditioned and comfortably seats 125 and is ideal for Lectures, Award Ceremonies or Product Launches. The Theatre has highest quality audio-visual facilities complemented by superb acoustics and an induction loop for those who are hard of hearing.
The Teacher Building was commissioned by William Teacher as the Offices of Wm Teacher & Sons and construction was completed in 1874. It remained the Headquarters of Teacher’s Whisky until 1991.
The Building was re-opened in 1997 by IEE to provide a Meeting Place for the Engineering community and offer Conference and Training Facilities in the heart of Glasgow.
