All Consultants are committed to providing a service dedicated to maintaining the high standards expected for specialist gas services within the healthcare sector. They can be involved at all stages of the lifecycle of a medical gas system, from outline brief to validation and design. They are also available to offer advice for specialist gas systems within the educational and industrial sectors. 

 

The involvement of HulleySGS Consultants during the preliminary and construction stages allow clients to deal with their normal day to day operations, while safe in the knowledge that the design, installation and validation is being managed by their engineers. Existing Client base includes end users, Estates Departments, Contractors/Installers, Commissioning Engineers, Technical Auditors, Cost Consultants, Architects and other M&E Consultants

 

HulleySGS can provide a specialist design and advice service from briefing through to detailed design with engineers ensuring that the most appropriate design is provided.  They are conversant with the relevant design requirements and will provide a system compliant with the current design standards, such as NHS Estates (S)HTM 2022, HTM 02, NHS Model Engineering Specification C11 and BCGA Codes of Practice.

Consultants can also review third party designs on behalf of the Client which will be enhanced by providing specialist advice for all medical gas installation issues. They are fully conversant with installation guidelines and good practice and will ensure systems are reviewed in full.  They can liaise with main contractors and review and report on the quality of the installation, recommend changes to working practices and regularly assess the specialist medical gas contractor’s Competent Persons (MGPS) Certification.

 

HulleySGS can provide various survey reports such as feasibility reports for new, existing and extension of existing installations, reporting on findings and solutions to meet current requirements.

 

On completion of installations Consultants can witness system validation tests on your behalf.  This includes all tests in compliance with the current NHS guidelines (HTM 2022 and HTM 02) for medical gas installations and BCGA Codes of Practice for laboratory and industrial installations.  They will review all validation documentation including operating and maintenance manuals and installed drawings.
