06.07.10
Hulley & Kirkwood's award winning £15 million small animal hospital has been officially opened by Scotland’s finance secretary, John Swinney today.
The new facility at Glasgow University has a range of hi-tech facilities including MRI and CT scanners, oncology and endoscopy suites. It also has a pain and rehabilitation centre with an underwater treadmill and ultra-modern operating theatres.
As well as treating patients, the hospital will also play an important role as a training ground for veterinary students.
The building, on the university’s Garscube Campus, has won several awards, including the RIBA Scotland Andrew Doolan 'Best Building in Scotland' Award.
Hulley & Kirkwood provided building services design for this ground-breaking building.
