This was the first of three Centres for which the firm completed the M&E Services Design, the others being in Birmingham and Hull.
Of particular interest on these Projects was the use of an air curtain which separated the pool area environment from the Fitness Area which was installed after CFD analysis.
The facilities in these Clubs include Indoor/Outdoor Tennis Courts, 25m Training Pool, Fitness Area, Aerobics Studios, Squash Courts, Bars and Restaurants as well as Conference Facilities.
In the interest of energy conservation, the use of heat pump technology was also employed which as well as providing the pool environment with properly controlled and dehumidified air, assisted in pre-heating the pool water itself.
