Hulley and Kirkwood provided Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design support on this project, which provided a refurbished and extended Intensive Care facility at one of London’s leading Private Hospitals.
The project comprised the full refurbishment and extension of the existing ICU located in the basement, in order to provide ICU facilities to modern standards. This included the provision of both adult and paediatric ICU beds and four positive/negative isolation rooms. All bed spaces were provided with medical pendants, medical gases, renal water supplies, call systems and “crash lighting”.
The project was implemented during normal working hours in a 24 hour area adjacent to the Hospital’s Operating Suite.
Hulley and Kirkwood have continued to provide engineering support to Cromwell Hospital on a number of ongoing projects, including the Post Graduate Education Centre.
