Project Title: Crowne Plaza Hotel, Manchester
Client: Ician Developments
Project Value: £18m

Hulley & Kirkwood have been appointed as the Consulting Engineers for the new £18M, 228 bedroom Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manchester.
The hotel forms the next phase of the extensive regeneration of the city’s Northern Quarter which is seen as the northern gateway to the city centre.
The hotel comprises a two storey foyer structure which houses all the reception, restaurant and conference facilities with the bedroom accommodation being formed within a 9 storey tower.
Plantrooms are located at mezzanine level and roof level respectively and the coordination of the services with the fabsec structure has been a key issue in the development of the transfer structure and the overall height of the building.
