Various refurbishment and new build projects has been taking place at Edinburgh Castle over a 10 year period which include:
- New shop and Visitor Centre
- Road Tunnel between the Esplanade and Mills Mount
- Major refurbishment of the Palace Block
- Mills Mount Restaurant & Cafe
- New Piping School
- North Block Museum
- South Block Museum
- Scottish United Services Museum
- Upgrading of the complete electrical and gas distribution systems for the site including new utility supplies
