Hulley & Kirkwood were appointed M&E Technical Advisor on Chill Factore, a £28M project predicted to be the biggest indoor ski slope in the UK – bringing the Alps to Manchester.
The 250,000 sq.ft development, based next to the Trafford Centre, has two distinct environments, a ‘Chill-down’ zone with three slopes of real snow for novice, intermediate and advanced skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing and also consists of a separate chuildren’s area featuring igloo’s, ice-castles and slides.
The ‘Warm-up’ zone incorporates activities such as rock-climbing and an indoor skateboard park. A number of Alpine-style shops, bars and restaurants with panoramic view of the action complete Chill Factore.
