Hulley & Kirkwood were the Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Consultants for this new Maternity Unit on the Crosshouse Hospital Site. The project will establish a fully integrated childbirth service, meeting the needs of mothers and their newborn babies across Ayrshire and Arran.
The new Maternity Unit will be stand alone with a direct link corridor to the main hospital facilities, providing a 60 bedded Maternity Unit. Construction on the new Maternity Hospital was completed in September 2006 and now offers the following services:
- Antenatal/Postnatal In-Patient Care
- Early Pregnancy/Antenatal Day Care Assessment
- Ultrasound Services
- Diagnostic Services
- Intrapartum Care
- Out-Patient Clinic Facilities
- Termination of Pregnancy Facilities
- Neonatal Services
- Anaesthetic Services
