Hulley and Kirkwood have provided Engineering Services Design Support for this new build PFI procured Community Hospital from PITN Stage through to Construction Stage and have an ongoing supporting role through Construction to completion.
The Development comprises a new 6,500m² Hospital, housing a range of Healthcare Services including the following facilities; Diagnostic Suite, Casualty, Outpatients, Theatre Suite and Day Surgery, Acute In-patient Wards, Elderly Mental Health Wards, Maternity Suite and a local PCC Doctors Practice.
The building form has high levels of external facade allowing maximum use of natural ventilation in order to reduce energy consumption.
