Project Title: Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride
Client: Mouchel
Project Value: £80m

As part of a £200m investment to improve local healthcare facilities, a new hospital was opened to largely replace the original Hairmyres Hospital on the outskirts of East Kilbride, built in 1904.
Two Care of the Elderly Wards and Laboratories were modernised but remained on the site.
The Hospital provides a broad range of Acute Services with the New Hospital having two Cardiac Catheterisation Labs and will be the Lanarkshire Centre for Interventional Cardiology.
There is a 10-bed Intensive and High Dependency Unit plus 364 In-patient Beds and 55 Day Care Beds.
Hulley & Kirkwood’s role on this Project was as Due Diligence Advisor to Funders.
