Director, Glasgow
Craig McDade, CEng, BEng (Hons), MIET
Craig is a Board Director with over 20 years of experience in building services consultancy. Based in our Glasgow office, he leads the delivery of electrical engineering design services on both local and national projects across a diverse range of sectors, including healthcare, transport, stadia, education, and commercial developments.
Craig graduated with a degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering in 2003, initially working on a mixture of residential and industrial projects in London before joining Hulley & Kirkwood in 2004.
Throughout his career, Craig has developed extensive expertise in specialist electrical design, including electrical infrastructure resilience, standby power generation, and ICT architecture. As a Board Director, he plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the business while continuing to support technical excellence across project delivery. His significant project experience includes numerous District General Hospitals, major stadia, and arena developments.
Craig has also been an early advocate of Building Information Modelling (BIM), supporting the implementation and ongoing development of BIM processes within the business. His commitment to innovation and collaborative working has helped drive the successful delivery of complex projects and maintain the company's reputation for technical excellence.
