Our Team

Dawn began her career in building services with an apprenticeship at Haden Young Limited in 1988. During her 11 years in contracting, Dawn project managed a number of high-profile complex construction projects in Scotland. Dawn opted for a change from building services contracting into design consultancy in 2001 and took on her Building Services Engineering Degree at this time, achieving a First-Class Honour’s Degree.

Dawn joined Hulley's Edinburgh Team in July 2005 and is now Mechanical Director in the Edinburgh office. Dawn has an extensive knowledge in building services from over 35 years’ experience in the industry and is responsible for the management and delivery of a large number of projects over different sectors. Dawn also achieved her Chartered Engineer status in 2015.

Dawn is a very passionate and dedicated Engineer and has the tenacity and determination to get things done and solve problems. Due to her early site-based project management experience, Dawn also takes a lot of pride in the services that we provide to Clients, including the presentation and operation of the installed services. Dawn also provides design leadership by training, mentoring, supervising and imparting knowledge within the team, to ensure that our building services designs are properly considered, engineered and integrated within the building architecture and structure, to deliver a satisfactory completion to projects that the team can be proud of.
