Michael O'Donnell CEng, BEng (Hons), MCIBSE, LCEA
Michael is a Board Director and responsible for our Edinburgh Office. With over 33 years of industry experience, he has been Project Director for a number of major high-profile projects with extensive experience in all sectors of the Industry.
Michael provides design leadership on low carbon / low energy design strategies along with the Hulley Eco team. Michael brings a pragmatic perspective on all aspects related to M&E issues with a pro-active and practical approach to the projects. Michael is well versed in working over long development timeframes and appreciates the importance of providing continuity of resource with a quality service to our clients.
Graduating with an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Michael joined Hulley & Kirkwood in 1989 as a graduate engineer progressing through the business to Board Director, successfully delivering a sequence of major projects in a wide variety of sectors.

As a business, we are committed to designing buildings which optimise energy efficiency and carbon reduction, and are environmentally responsible. Our projects have won many sustainability awards including; ACE Engineering Excellence Awards, Carbon Trust Scotland Awards and UK Building Better Healthcare with Innovation in the Use of Energy Awards. These awards evidence the effectiveness of our approach to sustainable building design.
