We’re really pleased to share that we’ve now completed RIBA Stage 4 for the new Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) on Level 9 of the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital!
The UTC is an important part of the NHS vision to make urgent care easier to access; aiming to give people the right care at the right time, seven days a week and to help reduce pressure on emergency services.
Designed to bring high-quality urgent care closer to people’s homes, reducing ambulance conveyances, ED attendances and unnecessary hospital admissions, this will be a great addition to this new hospital!
Our role has been to deliver the full MEP Stage 4 design, including 3D Revit modelling and coordination, for the 1,345m² fit-out of currently unused space. Working within a live, fully operational hospital always brings challenges, but the team have done a fantastic job ensuring our designs support the hospital’s ongoing operations with minimal disruption.
With Stage 4 now signed off, we’re excited to move into the construction phase. Bring it on! A great milestone for the project and great work from everyone involved!
