Gloves on, safety goggles on… and wellies???
Our H&K team swapped safety boots for wellies as we got into the swing of volunteering season, heading to our local St Luke's Hospice Plymouth for a day of gardening and general sprucing up.
St Luke’s Hospice provides vital care and support to people in our community and it’s always a privilege to contribute, even in a small way, to maintaining such an important and welcoming space.
We got stuck into pressure washing the patio, planting and refreshing flower beds and of course, getting our hands (and clothes!) mucky with painting. While the weather wasn’t quite as sunny as last year, we were glad to stay dry and make the most of a productive day outdoors.
With it also being Stress Awareness Month, it was a great reminder of how valuable it is to step away from our desks every so often, get outside and do something hands-on. Days like this not only support our community but are also great for our wellbeing.
A brilliant team effort all round and a rewarding way to support a fantastic local cause...we’re already looking forward to the next visit.
