Following our recent volunteer day helping prepare the site for reopening, we’re pleased to share the re-opening of the refurbished Portishead Open Air Pool!
This project has been a technically rewarding journey and one we are immensely proud to have been a part of. As mechanical and electrical design engineers, we supported a comprehensive upgrade of the site’s systems including upgrade of electrical infrastructure, new lighting and improvements to ventilation and building services throughout the facility.
A key element of the scheme was the integration and coordination of sustainable technologies. The introduction of solar thermal panels to support pool water heating, alongside a new biomass boiler system, contributes to a more efficient and environmentally conscious operation, key targets of the client.
It’s fantastic to see the pool reopening and ready to be enjoyed once again by the Portishead community.
